Norwegian to launch 40 new routes for Summer 2024

New routes for summer season 2024

Norwegian has announced that it is launching 40 new routes for summer season 2024. Two of the new routes are from Finland, Norway will get 9 new routes, Denmark will get 17 new routes and Sweden will get 9 new routes. Rest of the routes are outside of the Nordics.

Here are all the new routes from the Nordics:

• Stockholm-Skavsta - Mallorca-Palma

• Vaxjö - Alicante

• Vaxjö - Mallorca-Palma

• Oslo-Gardemoen - Bodrum

• Oslo-Gardemoen - Lyon

• Oslo-Gardemoen - Mulhouse Basel

Summary

Launch of this many routes for summer season 2024, is clearly similar strategy from Norwegian that it had before Covid-19. Difference is that so far this expansion has been staying flights originating from the Nordics. It will be interesting to see if Norwegian will continue it's expansion between other European countries as well

There is interesting destination among the new routes. Example. people living south from Stockholm will get new option to fly from Skavsta Airport. Skavsta in the past has been mainly used by Ryanair and Wizzair.

Copenhagen is seeing most new routes and for those who are interested in vibrant food culture then Bilbao is the destination.

It will be interesting see if Norwegian will keep flying to any of the these new routes after summer season 2024.
